Enhanced Partnership

Notice that an Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme have been prepared by Wokingham Borough Council, August 2023

Wokingham Borough Council has prepared an Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme and formal notice, giving qualifying local bus operators the right to object, was issued on Thursday 20th July 2023.

Notice of intention to make an Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme, September 2023

Wokingham Borough Council intends to proceed to make the Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme, as set out in section 138G of the Transport Act 2000.

The Wokingham Enhanced Partnership Plan and Enhanced Partnership Scheme can be found under Related Downloads.

Alternatively, hard copies of the Plan and Scheme document, along with alternative formats, can be requested by emailing: myjourney@wokingham.gov.uk

There are no modifications as a result of the stakeholder consultation or the preceding operator objection period. The EP Plan and EP Scheme will be made on Friday 29th September 2023. The EP Scheme will start 70 days after it has been made, unless stated otherwise in the EP Scheme.

Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP)

Wokingham Borough Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) has now been approved by the Council's Executive.  A copy of the document can be found under Related Downloads

The Bus Service Improvement Plan sets out the vision, objectives and delivery plan, for improving bus services to better meet the local needs of our residents. All proposals are subject to Department for Transport funding.

Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG) from Department for Transport

The annual BSOG Grant from the Department for Transport contributes towards bus subsidies paid to Reading Buses Limited and Thames Valley Buses.
