Half-Term Family Fun Day at Dinton Pastures

There are few better ways to enjoy a half-term holiday than getting out in nature and enjoying some fun activities, even if the weather isn’t fully on board. With this in mind, the My Journey team organised a special Half-Term Family Fun day in Dinton Pastures Country Park taking place on the 29th May.

In the morning we ran a children’s orienteering event which proved to be very popular with 9 different groups taking part and winning some active travel prizes. Even though the map was handmade, the children were adept at understanding it and finding the hidden markers. Considering its popularity, we will be looking to do this again.

Following this in the afternoon we were meant to have a family bike ride, but unfortunately due to the wind and rain, we had to call this off. We will reschedule this for another day however, as the ride itself is really lovely we will need to make sure to invite the sun as well!
