Film Day at Floreat Montague Park Primary School - teaching climate change and sustainability

The My Journey Air Quality officer worked with a group of Year 4 pupils as part of film day at Floreat Montague Primary School, who are one of the borough’s ten air quality schools.

Pupils participated in a workshop where they learnt all about the diffusion tubes located around their school, used for measuring nitrogen dioxide gas. In the second half of the workshop the pupils got to use their own bikes around a course in the playground to discover how doing physical exercise, such as cycling, can boost their health and wellbeing and help them to learn better.

The filming formed part of an online University of Reading course on called Teaching Climate Change and Sustainability in Primary Schools.
