National Walking Month
Did you know that May is National Walking Month?
Whilst out on your daily walk with your child/children why not get them to draw a picture of a leaf, flower, insect, bird or new baby cygnets, goslings or ducklings that are now appearing. Why not send the pictures they've drawn to us here.
For Walk to School Week which is usually in May we work with Living Streets who provide us with resources to take part which are distributed to the schools that have signed up. Living Streets have some FREE resources/activities for primary school age children which can be found in the link here.
To find green spaces on your doorstep and get outside for some fresh air and daily exercise in your local area click here. There is a lovely free booklet to download showing your nearest green space within walking distance to your house.
Remember to practice social distancing and only walk alone or with members of your household (as long as they have not presented symptoms).
Happy walking! 😄
