Travelling for health

Do you want to get healthier in 2019 without the gym?

Walking and cycling is one of the easiest ways that individuals can integrate exercise into their lives.

NHS guidelines advise adults to do at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week such as fast walking or cycling.

Come along to a My Journey event

There are many My Journey events planned throughout 2019 including cycle training both for children and adults, cycling for people over 60, Woky Wheels 4 All, walk to school week plus other events we are supporting including the Wokingham Bikeathon and the Sustrans Big Pedal. Join a cycling or walking group

Discover the local groups that exist around Wokingham borough. Information on cycling groups can be found here and walking groups here

Plan your active journey

You could use our Journey Planner to map your journey.  Route maps are available for residents to download on the cycling and walking pages of the website. A number of these maps are also available digitally on the route maps section of the website. The cycle streets journey planner is also a good tool to help all level of cyclists plan routes around the borough.
