Bus Times to your Mobile Phone

Live Bus Times to your Mobile (via QR Codes)

On selected routes, you can use your mobile phone to find out what time the bus will arrive at your bus stop. You will need to download a mobile application (app) which reads QR codes onto your phone, and then use your app to scan the black and white squares located on the timetable at your stop.

Routes which can provide this data are:

  • Reading Buses - Orange 13
  • Reading Buses - Orange 14
  • Reading Buses - Claret 21

If you travel on the 4/X4 route, you can use your smart phone to find out when the next bus will arrive at your stop. All bus stops on the 4/X4 route through Wokingham have now been fitted with QR code plates.

Scan the QR Codes on these plates with your smart phone to find out when the next bus will arrive at your stop. You need only to scan the code once, save the link to your smart phone and then get up-to-the-minute travel details for your local stop, at any time.

Scheduled Times by Text Message

If your mobile phone receives text messages, you can receive stop specific timetable information for your local bus stop in Wokingham Borough.

To get timetables to any mobile phone at anytime, anywhere in the borough, simply text your bus stop's unique seven letter code to 84268. Bus stop codes can be found on the bus stop timetable. Wokingham codes start with 'wok'.

You will then receive a text message with the scheduled time for the next bus departures from that stop.

Text messages cost 25p plus the standard network fee.
