Time to Shine

With the colder weather showing its face in the new year, primary schools have been taking part in our “Your Time to Shine” initiative to raise awareness of Be Bright Be Seen, for pedestrians and cyclists alike.  It’s important to have lights and reflectors on bikes, wear hi-vis or reflective clothes and attach high-vis/reflective accessories to bikes, school bags, etc.

Beechwood, Evendons, Wheatfield and Windmill Primary Schools are taking part in the fun involving children playing a bingo game and hunting for 40 high-vis coloured pebbles hidden round the playground – each pebble has a number on the back and the aim is to cross off the numbers to complete a line on their bingo card.  High-vis freebies are handed out as prizes for winners.  There is a “Woky Rocks” hashtag on the back of the pebbles so photos can be taken of the rocks and shared on social media to spread the message.

The high-vis pebbles are available again in March – schools please contact us if you are interested in borrowing!
