Safer Steps at Rivermead

A Safer Steps pilot session was delivered to Year 2 at Rivermead Primary School on 6th July, including pre-evaluation of current knowledge, interactive talk on safer walking and crossing the road including “be bright be seen” (and hi-vis drawstring bags with reflective feet given out to all pupils involved).  Safer Steps workbooks were sent home as well as Year 2 incorporating the learning using the film and local walks.  The link to the film was also included in the school weekly newsletter with a write up about the support parents can offer to their children.  Post-evaluation will be carried out with the same group in Year 3 in September.
