Bus Timetable Changes

September 4th 2017 Bus Service Changes

Service 19a/c – Service to be renumbered, rerouted and retimed. This service is operated by Reading Buses on behalf of the Council between Silverdale Road, Woodley and the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The contract on this service has been extended for a further year whilst a longer term tender process is undertaken.

Wokingham Borough Council’s Executive Member for Highways and Transport, Cllr Chris Bowring said: “The Council’s Executive members have made the decision to increase funding for this service for the next year in order to retain an hourly off-peak service for residents of both Silverdale Road and Woodley.”

From September 4th this service will be known as Service 12.

The route of the service will be:

Central Reading – Royal Berkshire Hospital – Silverdale Road – Loddon Bridge Road – Drovers Way – Crockhamwell Road – Loddon Bridge Road – Vauxhall Drive – Colemansmoor Road – Miles Way – Comet Way – Hurricane Way – Headley Road – Woodlands Avenue – (extending to Culver Lane on some journeys). The bus will return to Reading via the reverse of this route.

Church Road will no longer be served. Peak journeys to Woodley and Silverdale Road will also be withdrawn. For further route and timetable information please see the My Journey website.

Leopard 3/3B – Revised timetable (3) and extension of route into Bracknell Town (3B) Monday to Sunday on an hourly basis. This is a commercial service operated by Reading Buses between Central Reading, Shinfield, Arborfield and Wokingham/Bracknell.
