Active Travel Event at Winnersh Triangle Business Park

The My Journey team ran an active travel event at Winnersh Triangle Business Park in Winnersh. They provided advice and activities to promote active travel and to improve health, wellbeing and reduce the use of lone car travel.

The smoothie bike was super popular with lots of people making people powered fruit smoothies. There was an opportunity for people to try an electric bicycle around the park.

The Safer Roads team came along with Dr Bike to fix people's bicycles while they were having a go on the static bicycle challenge competing for a free t-shirt.

The Community Wardens were security marking and registering people’s bikes on the national register. The marking is a form of deterrent and registering the cycle helps the police reunite a bicycle with its owner if recovered after being stolen.

Public health were giving out diet and exercise advice as well as promoting their Active 10 Campaign.

Free ice-cream was kindly provided by Winnersh Triangle Business Park which was well received on a very hot and sunny day!
