Cycling

Cycling is a great way to get fit through building exercise into your daily routine. According to the NHS, adults aged 16-64 should do at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity such as cycling every week (NHS, 2016).

New to Cycling?

My Journey can provide advice on buying a bike and give you the opportunity to try a bike before committing to purchasing one. Cycle training sessions for adults and children are also organised throughout the year to teach people how to ride a bike and build up cycling confidence. Visit the Events section to find out if there any upcoming cycle training sessions taking place. If no sessions are currently planned, you can register your interest here.

It is designed for both confident and less confident cyclists with information on how busy a route is, the number of traffic lights on a route and the number of calories burned by taking a specific route.
