Park & Ride

Winnersh Triangle

Winnersh Park and Ride operates from the edge of Winnersh Triangle Business Park. Buses depart every 15 minutes to the centre of Reading via the A329M. Services operate Monday to Saturday, with weekday services commencing at 0645. The last park and ride buses out of Reading will be 1848, however return park and ride tickets will be accepted on Reading Buses Lion 4/X4 if returning later in the evening.

A parking charge of £4 a day applies to Winnersh Triangle car park. For Park and Ride users, the parking charge is included within the bus ticket. Concessionary pass holders should request a parking ticket on the bus. Cycle parking and two electric vehicle charge points are located on site.

Mereoak                                                                                     

Mereoak Park and Ride is now operating from the purpose built park and ride site at Mereoak Lane, Grazeley. Access to the site is from A33, just south of M4 junction 11. The site provides nearly 600 parking spaces, plus cycle and motorcycle parking. Reading Buses, Greenwave service provides a fast and frequent service between the site and Reading Town centre and Reading Station.

‘Normal’ park and ride services operate Mondays to Saturdays. Weekday services run between 05:50 and 20:58. Saturday services run between 07:27and 19:20. Some buses run direct to Reading Town Centre, whilst others stop at Reading International Business Park, Madejski Stadium or Kennet Island. Special Sunday and evening ‘Mereoak Sports’ service run on matchdays for football and rugby games at the Madejski Stadium.  Please note concessionary passes are not valid on Mereoak Sports services.

A parking fee of 50p per day applies to Mereoak Park and Ride users.   

Thames Valley Park: Proposals for a new park and ride site

Wokingham Borough Council and Reading Borough Council are working together over plans for a new park and ride site at Thames Valley Park, east of Reading.  The proposed scheme would be located west of the roundabout between the A3290 and Thames Valley Park Drive.  The Business documents supporting this are available under Related Downloads.
